Ashes are falling like snowflakes, the world is always burning at the end of the day. And no one can stop it. Nor a man or a god. In fact the god was on his side this time but it changed nothing. Apocalypse won't bring his family back to life. Flash. X-men are fighting, protecting the world, of course. Eric doesn't care. He has nothing to fight for, they do. He has only ash laying on the graves. He even became ash himself, his hair has turned white since Apocalypse restored the power he'd lost once back there in the concentration camp. It always comes too late. Another flash. Too quick to notice where it came from. Erik recognizes the visitors, Mystique and the silver-haired boy who's saved him once. Why did he come here? To save him again? What nonsense. Doesn't he have a family to protect from Magneto? Quicksilver is strangely quiet as he glances at him while Mystique tries to break through Magneto's shell. Erik looks different since the last time he saw him, he's furious and heartbroken like never before but something hasn't changed. He's still his dad. "I'm…here for my family too" The sunshine makes the boy’s brown eyes look almost like an amber; there is something in them preserved for better times. No, somehow his look makes Erik understand, it's not for better times. It's preserved for him.
