New Year's Story
new year's background.
The 29th of december.
It was a frosty day. the treetops froze in the morning. The snow was so shiny, the color of it was like that small lake near the park, transparently white, that you could see your reflection. There was slush on the road: it must have been raining. The smell of pine needles, tangerines, the one that drives the townspeople so crazy in these chaotic days.
Everyone was going somewhere: someone was at work, someone wanted to choose gifts, and someone wanted to spend the day with their family. It seems everyone was waiting for a miracle, something good, like children, on this New Year's Eve.
We were decorating the house. We took all kinds of Christmas balls, ribbons, tinsel, garland and watched as a New Year's miracle came to us.
Well, New Year's stories will be read and finished happily, and that's where we'll start.
