It was short and fleeting
But that's the point
Поверить сложно in this sudden meeting,
A pirate played с гитарой like a god,
His hair long трепал попутный wind.
Русалка сразу swam towards the ship;
И не стыдясь, с улыбкой, with no caution,
В ответ his smile рукой махнула she.
He praised her eyes and curly fiery hair;
He sang that no one ever was прелестней,
Чем дева та, who could not be compared.
The mermaid blushed and feared,
The pirate знал, что now he was done.
Не он нырнул, а maiden gave her hand;
And in his mighty arms,
She stepped неловко all upon the land.
She was so bare, купаясь в лунном свете;
Her two fine breasts манили more than gold.
Her tender fingers caught him, словно в сети,
И emerald eyes were fairest in the world.
Моряк забыл, что on the seashore waited
Его невеста, faithful and shy;
His only dream была не his young mated -
С русалкой дерзкой he embraced the sky...
Но этот стих, bilingual for a reason,
This is a tale not of love but treason,
When morning rose,
И капитан свистал all hands on deck,
The pirate,
Шумели волны, and the ship was carried
By wind of tail к жарким южным lands;
На горизонте, far beyond the sails,
He cried for her,
Ей не ходить по planking of ship’s deck,
И не иметь a pair of human legs.
The Neptune’s daughter overwatched his trip.
Она missed him so much и пожалела,
Что не осталась with him on his ship…
