Job post - translator / support for Fic.Fan

Ficbook is hiring! We are looking for an addition to our team: Russian to English Translator & Support for a Full-Time.

Responsibilities

• Translate diverse Russian content into accurate and engaging English translations while maintaining the original meaning and style;
• Collaborate with our dynamic team to ensure consistent, high-quality translations across the website;
• Thoroughly review and edit translated content to ensure precision and coherence.
• Manage translation projects effectively, meeting deadlines and maintaining clear communication throughout the process.

Requirements

• Ability to handle potentially stressful interactions w/ users; ability to effectively empathize, understand and communicate w/ users; no racial, religious, gender-based, sexuality-based, politically-based bias;
• Native or near-native English speaker with a strong command of both Russian and English languages;
• Exceptional written communication skills and meticulous attention to detail;
• Previous participation in fan circles, activities and/or communities;
• Common understanding of global fan culture;
• Ability and willingness to view, interact with and otherwise handle explicit, disturbing and otherwise sensitive fictional content (both in fan-text and fan-art form).

Other requirements

• Minimum age requirement: 18 years;
• Flexibility to work remotely on a full-time basis with a versatile schedule;
• Ability to show up on a video interview call and readiness to hold a conversation in well spoken English.
