i also can’t stop thinking of something a user in reddit said about draco finding out about harry’s household: he would weaponise it in a fight to touch his nerve. absolutely.
tbh i don’t like the idea that draco would start pitying or, like, sympathising with harry because of it. he would feel mildly guilty, and then maybe say something utterly unhelpful and awkward that sounds arrogant.
“er…” shocked, truly an undignified moment for a malfoy to utter such a plebeian sound. “that explains a lot, i suppose,” (that is him trying to be nice!)
and harry would laugh and say “god, you’re still such a twat.”

читаю two to shore со слизеринцем гарри, который умудрился подружиться с драко, но при этом не стал темным магом и не перестал дружить с гермионой и роном. мне нравится, все дела, но я тут подумала о том насколько мне не привычно то, что драко вовлечен и ознакомлен практически со всем, что происходит вокруг гарри. мне кажется мне в целом не импонирует троп от друзей к возлюбленным (upd: byler is an exception, i just realised). для меня они ни разу не друзья, даже когда у них выстраиваются мирные взаимодействия друг с другом, между ними есть и будут недосказанности, конфликты, годы воспоминаний без друг друга, которые построили who they are, you know? в том плане что всегда будет ощущаться вес of tension they overcame. почему-то именно драко и гарри представить друзьями очень трудно. adversaries who are attracted to each other regardless? yes. the beauty in drarry is the new, fresh connection unlike ron’s and harry’s, for instance. they grew up together and they’re practically brothers. they are very similar in ideals and values. their connection is like a lamp lit up. гарри и драко же различаются в обеих категориях, and their connection is like a mini electricity gathered in your fingers. it lights up but it hurts just slightly. if we add friendship, somehow that element vanishes for me. плюс мне нравится когда драко меняется именно под воздействием гарри и что гарри учится терпению и прощению вместе с драко.
